Bob Fields is a member of the Global Fixed Income, Currency & Commodities (GFICC) group. Based in San Francisco, Bob is a fixed-income portfolio strategist and follows all sectors of the fixed-income market. Prior to joining the firm in 2011, he was at PIMCO for 10 years as senior vice president in the Newport Beach office and the product manager for tax-sensitive assets. In addition, he wrote commentary about fixed income markets, pertinent and timely thought pieces, and created a number of innovative tax-efficient funds.
Before that, Bob spent 12 years with Goldman Sachs as vice president in the institutional fixed-income division in both New York and San Francisco. Previously, he focused on high-yield trading and sales at Mabon, Nugent, and Company.
Bob has over 30 years of investment experience and holds an undergraduate degree from Brown University. He completed the executive program in public finance from the University Of Michigan School Of Business and holds Series 3, 7, and 63 licenses
